Realme 16T arrives with the Dimensity 6300 SoC, a 144Hz display, and an 8,000 mAh battery

Realme today expanded its 16 Series with the introduction of Realme 16T, increasing the total number of smartphones in the lineup to four.

The biggest highlight of the Realme 16T is its 8,000 mAh battery, which is advertised to last 7 years and deliver 3 days of endurance on a single charge. The battery supports 45W charging and can also be used as a power bank, as it supports 15W reverse wired charging. You also get all-scenario bypass charging.

Another highlight of the Realme 16T is its 50MP primary camera on the rear, joined by a 2MP monochrome unit. The primary camera uses the Sony IMX852 sensor and is advertised by Realme as the “50MP Sony IMX852 AI Camera.” Reason? The smartphone comes with a few AI-powered photography features, including AI Portrait Glow, which “intelligently analyzes the lighting around subjects and applies supplementary lighting effects to enhance subject brightness.”
There are four lighting effects available in AI Portrait Glow: Flash, Studio Light, Natural Light, and Rim Light.

In addition to AI features, the Realme 16T comes with LumaColor IMAGE tech for “True-to-Life Skin Tones” in pictures.
The camera module on the back features Aura Flash and a selfie mirror, which isn’t anything new on a mobile phone. The back cover of the Realme 16T also flaunts the Gleaming Wings Design, but you only get that with the Aurora Green colorway.

On the front, we have a 6.8″ HD+ 144Hz LCD with peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The display has a centered punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera, but there’s no fingerprint scanner underneath, as it’s embedded in the power button on the phone’s right side.

Under the hood is the Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with up to 8GB RAM. The Realme 16T runs Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, but Realme hasn’t revealed how many years of software support it will receive.
Other features of the Realme 16T include a 5,300 mm2 vapor chamber for cooling, MIL-STD-810H certification, and IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K and IP69 Pro ratings. There’s also a microSD card slot for storage expansion by up to 2TB.
The Realme 16T comes in Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and the India-exclusive Starlight Red colorways. It also has three memory options – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB, priced at INR29,999, INR31,999, and INR34,999, respectively.
The Realme 16T will go on sale in India starting May 27 via Realme’s Indian website, Flipkart, and mainline retail stores.
