A Colossal Record Fair is Landing in Industry City Next Month

Shot of the vinyl convention in Philly

Calling all crate-diggers, basement raiders, casual and obsessive record collectors alike: a vinyl convention of epic proportions is coming to Brooklyn.

VinylCon, a massive traveling record fair that’s been roadtripping around the country for the last year and change, has picked Industry City for its next stop. The convention’s NYC debut will take place the weekend of June 13 and June 14. And if recent stops in Philly, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Los Angeles are anything to go by, attendees can expect a couple of days of getting elbow-deep in the curated bins and endless piles of wax brought up and down the turnpike by dozens of record vendors and private collectors from all over the East Coast.

There will also, of course, be a ton of DJs on-hand, spinning selections pulled from their own shelves. The lineup has yet to be announced, but it will be helmed by selector and accetate assasin Skeme Richards. And if you happen to have a few grails, obscurities, or duplicates to offload, VinylCon is making space for you, too. Apply to be a vendor with your very own booth at the convention’s NYC debut today.

Partners for food, drink, and other fun things that chemically and historically pair well with day-long music excursions, have yet to revealed. Stay tuned for updates on the offerings in the days ahead.
